Motivation

Chintan Varnangal in the language of the artist translates to "Think Colors". As a child, the artist was drawn to gifting parents things that were handmade by them. The artist intends to share that joy by creating unique pieces for individuals. That is how Chintan Varnangal was founded.

Inspiration

The Artist inspiration is from nature. The way nature delights every life on earth with its abundance. Using art as a medium, the artist wants to spread happiness to all.

Creation

​

Handmade with utmost care, art works are unique in its own way. The production starts with a block of potters clay, which is sliced and weighed. Then the clay is hand wedged to remove air sockets and ready to be shaped on the potters wheel or using hand building techniques. When on the wheel, the artist centers the clay, lifts it to the desired height and structures them accordingly. The pieces are trimmed for smoother finish. Usually ceramic art work is fired twice in the kiln. The first is bisque firing followed by glaze firing.

Various decorative techniques are used in different stages of the production process. Each of the artwork is created by keeping in mind happiness of customers receiving them. All the raw materials including the clay and glazes used in the process are made in USA and responsibly sourced.
